The following categories are available for submitting your manuscript for consideration. Each provides information and criteria for inclusion.   

Research Article:

This section is for completed research. Usually ethics level research. Authors are typically faculty or graduate students.

Criteria:

- 30 pages maximum (inclusive of references, tables, figures, and images).
- Accepted file formats: doc, doc.
- Times New Roman, 12 font, single spaced.
- Normal margins on letter-size pages.
- Abstract in English or French and not exceeding 200 words.
- All tables, graphs, or photos must be on their own individual pages.
- APA 7th edition publication formatting.

Research-In-Motion:

This is for research that is currently being undertaken or reporting on initial findings of a longitudinal study/program. Usually ethics level research. Authors are typically faculty or graduate students.

Criteria:

- 15 pages maximum (inclusive of references, tables, figures, and images).
- Accepted file formats: doc, docs.
- Times New Roman, 12 font, single spaced.
- Normal margins on letter-size pages.
- Abstract in English or French and not exceeding 200 words.
- All tables and graphs must be on their own individual page.
- APA 7th edition publication formatting.

Graduate Student Research Briefs:

This is a brief synopsis of graduate research that is either about to start, currently being undertaken or reporting on final work. Restricted to graduate student research. Graduate student must be first author.

Criteria:

- 5 pages maximum (inclusive of references, tables, figures, and images).
- Accepted file formats: doc, docs.
- Times New Roman, 12 font, single spaced.
- Normal margins on letter-size pages.
- Abstract in English or French and not exceeding 200 words.
- All tables and graphs must be on their own individual page.
- APA 7th edition publication formatting.

Career Practitioners & Community Practices:

This is for promotion of best practices, new techniques, new programs and program results from the community level. Articles can be written by career practitioners and counsellors. Individuals in faculty positions with Ethics approval research should publish under the 'Research Article' category.

Submission of a best practices article does not guarantee publication. Final decision on publication will be done by the Editorial Board.

Criteria:

- 10 pages maximum (inclusive of references, tables, figures, and images).
- Accepted file formats: doc, docs.
- Times New Roman, 12 font, single spaced.
- Normal margins on letter-size pages.
- Abstract in English or French and not exceeding 200 words.
- All tables and graphs must be on their own individual page.

Book Reviews. Non-Peer Review

- Academic Book Reviews:

Reviews of academic-level career books that would be of interest to faculty and students. Topic must be on career development. Review author must provide their credentials and expertise on the book’s topic to Editorial Staff.

Submission of a book review does not guarantee publication. Final decision on publication will be done by the Editorial Board.

Criteria:

- Reviewers cannot be one of the book authors.
- Reviewers must not be paid for the review by book authors or publisher.
- 2-4 pages maximum.
- Abstract in English or French and not exceeding 200 words.
- Accepted file formats: doc, docs.
- Times New Roman, 12 font.

- Non-Academic Book Reviews:

Reviews of career and career development books that would be of interest to career practitioners. Review author must provide their credentials and expertise on the book’s topic to Editorial Staff.

Submission of a book review does not guarantee publication. Final decision on publication will be done by the Editorial Board.

- Reviewers cannot be one of the book authors.
- Reviewers must not be paid for the review by book authors or publisher.
