Résumé

Des étudiants universitaires (n = 26 ; M = 24,7 ans) ont participé à une intervention de développement de carrière axée sur l'expérience en petits groupes. Le programme était psychoéducatif et axé sur le processus (c'est-à-dire présentation d'informations liées à la carrière, évaluation et interprétation individuelles liées à la carrière, activités d'apprentissage pratiques). À deux reprises au cours de l'intervention, les participants ont répondu à des questionnaires sur les pensées dysfonctionnelles liées à la carrière, l'espoir et la conscience de soi. Le groupe témoin qui n'a pas participé à l'intervention (n = 22 ; M = 22,3 ans) a rempli deux fois les mêmes questionnaires à environ six semaines d'intervalle. L'analyse des scores avant et après l'intervention a montré que davantage de participants ont déclaré avoir une meilleure capacité d'espoir-action pour la gestion de leur carrière, une meilleure conscience de soi liée à la carrière et moins de confusion professionnelle par rapport au groupe témoin (p < 0,05). Nos résultats soulignent la valeur de l'apprentissage expérientiel en tant qu'outil de développement de carrière, ainsi que la rentabilité de l'organisation d'un nombre limité de sessions de carrière en petits groupes. De plus, nos résultats contribuent à valider notre modèle conceptuel sur la manière dont l'apprentissage expérientiel peut aider les étudiants de premier cycle à développer les compétences fondamentales nécessaires pour réussir dans le monde du travail (Bowering et al., 2020).
